AbsoluteValue
Absolute Value

Absolute value is simply the distance a value is from 0. Another way to say it is that it is the number without regard to its sign.

The absolute value of 3 is 3 and the absolute value of -3 is also 3.

Visual Basic contains a function called Abs which performs this operation for you.
