A binary logical operator which returns True in the event that both element in the operation are true. Thus, using 1 to represent a value of True and 0 to represent a value of False, the possible outcomes of an And operation are presented in the following table:

0 And 0 = 0
0 And 1 = 0
1 And 0 = 0
1 And 1 = 1
