BCD
BCD
A number system whic is used to store in standardized form digits in binary form of fixed length. In this system each digit of a denary number is written as a four bit binary number rather than converting the entire denary number to its normal binary form. A BCD number always contains a greater number of bits than its true binary equivalent but is convenient for such purposes as calculator displays.
