Beginners Guide To ASP .NET with C#

This is a beginners guide to ASP .NET and C#. It attempts to give an overview of ASP .NET basics and how to write Active Server Pages with C#.

System requirements for ASP .NET applications

To be able to develop and run Active Server Pages on your machine you must have the following components installed:

 

Windows NT 4.1, Windows XP Pro or later 
Microsoft Internet Information Server ver. 5.1 or later 
or Apache Webserver 
.NET Framework ver. 1.1
Visual Studio Standard 



Hardware requirements


256 or 512 MB RAM
Intel compatible 1 GHZ processor or higher
500 Megs diskspace 



These are the minimum requiremets for developing ASP .NET applications on windows. Note that these requirements may change from time to time due to technology improvements. For more information check out Microsofts homepage.
