Centronics
Centronics
A universally accepted interface for printers. This is the type of interface which is used as parallel, meaning that one connecting line is used for each bit of a byte along with the lines for synchronising signals. The standard was devised by the printer manufacturer Centronics Inc. and it is normal to find that there is compatibility with any printer that uses this interface.
