Connection oriented protocol
Connection Oriented Protocol
These kinds of services or protocols are modeled after the telephone system.

For instance in the telephone system the user has to pick up the handset, dial the number, talk, and then hang up.
Similarly in a connection oriented protocol the service has to first establish the connection or the link, use the connection and then release the connection.

There is a high level of reliability in this kind of a service.
