DDM

DDM, Distributed Data Management file

A sort of sortcut or alias file. Used by IBM, for example on the AS/400.

For example, a certain database needs to be able to access file B. For this it can use DDM file A, that contains the location of B.

See http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/index.htm?info/ddm/rbae5mst13.htm.
