CodePedia Features Wish List
Please follow these guidelines when editing this page:- Keep this page in a list format to make it easier to read for everyone.
- If you see an entry for an existing feature, remove it.
This is a list of items and features that we hope to see on CodePedia. Feel free to add your own!
- Uploading images to link to in content.
- Append functionality to easily add to existing content.
-

tags (i.e. all lines between them aligned one tabstop in)
- A paragraph tag or notation that indents the first line, so paragraphs are more natural. This may be able to be done with the indent tag alone.
- Anchors without URLS, i.e. #anchorname.
- Automatic similar page search when editting. Perhaps, just list similarly named pages at the top of the edit page to avoid duplicates, e.g. runtime and run-time.
- Admin: Try the "Pagename search tool". It's a link available on the edit page. Not as good as automatic, but "similar searches" can be a pain to code, I suppose.
- Tief : A Grid or Table Object. Like
...
in HTML.
- Tief : Search tools for specific or current page. (TextBox + Button)
- Admin: For a search on the current page? Not sure what you mean.
- Tief : This may be too much to ask, but wouldn't be fantastic if we had some way of adding functionality to your Wiki Application. (ex: Linux user can improve the version with their own code). This way, we could write code or plug-ins, submit them to you for approval. I bet you would get a great response.
- Page Aliases - Operating System points to OperatingSystem. First is a "link", second is a page.
- Redirection - Operating System redirects to OperatingSystem. First one auto-refreshes ("Please Wait" kind of page?) so that the second one is loaded.
- IvanStojic: "Find pages linking to this page" tool...
- Admin: See the What links here at the bottom of every page.
- tommy.carlier: an extended
-tag for syntax coloring pieces of code in often used languages. For example:
<html><head></head><body></body></html>
or
int main(){ cout << "Hello World"; }
- Embedded systems coding page
- Relman: Allow viewers to rate and comment articles.
- Bilderbikkel: Make the code copy-pastable. Now the code is pasted as one single line. Only in 'Edit mode' one can correctly copy code WITH its layout.
- Bilderbikkel: Of each page, see the number of visits per day.
