FlashRAM
Flashable RAM

A type of rewriteable memory that is often used for BIOSes and portable MP3 player storage memory. It has the advantage of not needing a continuous power supply to keep the information from being lost, as is the case of RAM. The drawbacks are that it is quite slow to rewrite and after a few hundred-thousand rewrites, the data it contains will become permanently corrupted.
