HTMLSPEC-SPAN

Span

Usage

Used to group non-block elements for formatting purposes and often used to support cascading style sheets. The <span> tag is very similar to the <div> tag except that it will not terminate a paragraph when used inside a paragraph.

Attributes

align=" left | center | right "

Specifies the horizontal alignment of internal content.

style="text"

Specifies style settings. Seek the <style> tag for additional information.

id=""

Specifies a style class.

Code Tip

The <span> tag was generally added to HTML to support cascading style sheets. It is a great way to add text style and characteristics to specific content.

Live Example
