IDE (Integrated Development Environment) is a development tool that contains the editor, compiler, linker, debugger and other such tools in one package. This prevents the need for using multiple tools to develope software.


Popular IDEs:

• .NET: Microsoft Visual Studio, Borland C#Builder
• Java: Sun ONE Studio, Borland JBuilder, NetBeans IDE, JCreator
• C/C++: Borland C++ Builder, Microsoft Visual C++, Bloodshed Dev-C++ (freeware), KDevelop (freeware, Unix)
