What is J2SE

J2SE provides an environment for development of applications on desktops and servers. The Desktop Java portion of J2SE refers to WebStart and the Java Runtime Environment(JRE). The Core Java portion of J2SE refers to SDK and other features that are part of J2SE such as JDBC.
