LISP

LISP

LISP is an acronym for LISt Processing. It's been often associated with processing of symbolic data, artificial inteligence and language parsing (both computer and human languages). The language has always revolved around list oriented data which enables efficient working with arbitrary and changing data models.

The language has evolved into two separate branches: Common Lisp and Scheme.
