Mouse
'''Mouse'''

A device that moves a cursor across the screen.

Normally, it is a moveable device with a trackball in it, but a lot of variants have been introduced. One is the optical mouse, with photo sensors keeping track of the position and movement. Another is the wireless mouse, based on IR tracking. A third alternative has the ball on top; you move the ball, but not the whole device. Yet another variant is a touchpad, which detects the movement of your finger (or other object) across it's surface.

Some of the big names in mouse manufacturing are:
  1. Microsoft
  2. Logitech
  3. IBM
  4. Mercury
