Netware
NetWare(r) is the trademarked name for a ?network operating system produced by Novell, Inc., of Utah.
Netware(r) is a robust and mature client-server system that originally provided transport using IPX, a proprietary routable protocol that was extremely popular in autonomous business networks. The growth of the Internet and the wide adoption of TCP/IP made seamless interconnection desirable, thus Novell started gradually supporting TCP/IP, first with gateways, then through native TCP/IP under the moniker "Pure IP(r)". Today, NetWare(r) uses TCP/IP for its default transport protocol. NetWare(r) includes a number of refinements that automate the deployment and management of TCP/IP in dynamic environments.
