Open System Interconnection. This is an important netwrk architecture out of which the [[TCP/IP]] has evolved. This model is based on a proposal by the International Standards Organisation as a first step towards international standardization of the protocols used in the various layers. There are 7 layers in this model:
1: Physical Layer
2: Data Link Layer
3: Network Layer
4: Transport Layer
5: Session Layer
6:Presentation Layer
7: Application Layer
