PATH
The concept of ''path'' is common in any operating system with a command line interface. The path is a list of directories searched for executable programs by your CLI interpreter (also commonly known as a shell).
Using the path is an efficient way to store your programs in a global, shared directory instead of having them spread throughout all the directories on the disk.
