PSD

(Graphics) PSD

PSD is the file format used by Adobe Photoshop. It supports 1 to 32 bit images, as well as layers and history of the image and multiple channels. It is the image format most widely used for professional graphics design work. It is generally not used for a published version of an image, generally used only in development. PSD is a lossless format.
