How can I add sound to a program?
Playing sound within your program can be accomplished in several ways. Among them are PLAY, SOUND, and more complex methods that can use the MIDI interface or ?SoundBlaster routines. For beginners, I recommend the QBasic SOUND and PLAY commands, as there is less to learn, and it will work on nearly any machine, whereas fancier methods (using a sound card), rely heavily on the de facto ?SoundBlaster standard, which is not always a default setting on everyone's machine.
