RDRAM
What is RDRAM?
RDRAM or Rambus DRAM or Direct DRAM is a high performance DRAM. It gets its high performance from its use of a Rambus channel to a narrow transmission line from the RIMMs to the memory controller.

The main difference between this and SDRAM is that there is a new high speed interface(RAC) within the memory controller that allows high speed comunication across the channel at 1 GB pre sec or higher.
