Sun Microsystems
Sun Microsystems got its start in 1982 in the Microcomputer Business with 4 founders; Bill Joy, Scott McNearly, Vinhod Kholsa, and Andreas Bechtolsheim. SUN stands for Stanford Univeristy Network. The very first Microcomputers that Sun distributed were powered by BSD.In the early 1990s Sun switched from BSD to UNIX SVR4 with the introduction of Solaris(SunOS) and Sun developed the Java Language.
