TASM
The Telemark cross assembler is also refered to as TASM. This is a shareware, table driven, command line cross assembler for the MS-DOS environment, and now also for Linux. Assembly source code, written in the appropriate dialect (generally very close to the manufacturers assembly language), can be assembled with TASM, and the resulting object code transferred to the target microprocessor system via PROM or other mechanisms.
TASM supports the following processor families:
Some confusion may exist over the name since the version 2.9 manual simply refers to TASM as 'TASM - A Table Driven Cross Assembler for the MSDOS Environment'. The version 3.2 web page refers to the software as 'The Telemark Assembler (TASM)'. The earlier version used the company name Speech Technology Incorporated in the copyright whereas the later version uses Squak Valley Software. However, both versions use the same mailing address and were written by Thomas N. Anderson.
