How to enable support for large ATA drives

If you have trouble getting Windows 2000 to recognize your +137GB hard drive, then you can try to add the following value to the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Parameters

Set the value to:

Value name: EnableBigLba
Data type: REG_DWORD
Value data: 0x1

This will only work is your computer's BIOS supports large drives. See the article above.
