analog
Analog information thus refers to measurements taken by instruments which can register (at least theoretically) an infinite resolution of grades (that is to say, such items such as needle meters which point to listed values or any number of points between listed values.
Analog information is as opposed to digital information, which takes discrete values and has a finite resolution.

analog
'''Analog''' information is continuous quantity information. Continuous quantity means that between any two analog quantities, an infinite number of analog quantities are available. Thus, analog information can basically take all values from the set of real numbers.Analog information thus refers to measurements taken by instruments which can register (at least theoretically) an infinite resolution of grades (that is to say, such items such as needle meters which point to listed values or any number of points between listed values.
