talk:SMS
This page is to discuss "SMS". You can ask questions or make comments.
What is a talkpage?
SMS has several meanings, depending on the context or role you are playing.
For PC / Windows systems administrators it implies a Microsoft management product: Systems Managed Server. If you log into a Microsoft/Novell network you might see a black DOS box or a white box named "SMS Server".
For mainframers -there are two more: A systems product by IBM: Systems Managed Storages. It assigns names to classes of files: "big", "small", "online", "batch", or whatever the shop wants to set up.
An application product by Checkfree. Only bankers would be familiar with it. Yes, a small audience of COBOL programmers.
There are probably more I have not known about.
