What is a Computer Virus?

A computer virus is a small piece of code designed to make a computer inoperable.

Types of Computer Viruses

Virus-a piece of code that piggybacks onto a real computer program.

Email Virus-a virus that is sent via email and infects a addess book of an email program to send itself to other computers.

Worms-A worm uses security holes and the network to copy itself to other uninefected computers.

Trojan Horses-A computer program that claims to do some functions but actually only infects a computer.
