WLA DX is a set of cross development macro assemblers and additional tools primarily geared towards game console homebrew development but is useful for many other embedded programming tasks too. The WLA assemblers have excellent support for overlays.

The complete package is distributed in source form (C code) under the GNU General Public License with make files for Amiga, Linux/Unix, Dos, and Win32.

WLA DX includes WLA GB-Z80/Z80/6502/65C02/6510/65816/HUC6280/SPC-700 macro assemblers (what a horribly long name), WLAB (binary to DB converter), WLAD (GameBoy ROM dissassembler)and WLALINK GB-Z80/Z80/6502/65C02/6510/65816/HUC6280/SPC-700 linkers.
